There was an old-world way of cooking before microwaves and drive-through windows. Fresh and clean ingredients were introduced in earthen pots and slowly cooked over low heat, bringing out unparalleled flavor while maintaining life-giving nutrition. These meals were prepared to be enjoyed together with others, savoring life.
At The Clay Pot, we believe that food should still be prepared with such love and care. We believe that sustainable, locally-sourced ingredients are good for our planet, our community, and our souls. We believe that incredible taste should be paired with life-giving nutrition.

Our Story.
Where one story ends… another begins. The vision started for Boby Mitov & his family in 1999 as they left their home in Bulgaria & planted themselves in Bowling Green, Ohio. That is where the Mitov’s & Mierzejewski’s stories collide - Bowling Green. Their families came together - they shared so many tables of - good food. together. They shared holidays, birthdays, and many other days together as the Mitovs became family. Those years lead Veronica to working at The Clay Pot for fun & found a real passion in bringing people together around the table to enjoy not just - good food, but each other.
Never imagining to be a business owner, let alone a restaurant owner, when the thought of The Clay Pot Bistro closing its doors in Bowling Green, Veronica and her husband, Grant could not let that happen. Believing wholeheartedly in the mission, Grant & Veronica began the next chapter of The Clay Pot Bistro.
Restaurant founded in 2003, known as - Naslada by Boby
In 2006 Naslada by Boby relocated to the historic district of downtown Bowling Green & renamed - Naslada Bistro
In 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic Naslada Bistro was renamed & rebranded to The Clay Pot Bistro
Grant & Veronica Mierzejewski took ownership of The Clay Pot Bistro - September 2023
